Name of Tartan:
Unnamed C20th - Unregistered Error
MacDonald of Clanranald (error)
Available to STA members only
A sett submitted to the STS in the late 1970's either for identification or more likely as a new design based on an old piece. This was rejected as the original (examined by PEM) was clearly an old piece of MacDonald of Clanranald in which the white had become discloured to a yellowish hue. When rewoven a brighter yellow was used but not considered to be sufficiently difference to be acceptable although it may have been woven commercial but it is not known by what name.
