  • Notes: Designed by 12 year old Ashley Stokowy and her Highland Dancing teacher Gail Danyst with help from Lochcarron of Scotland. Proposed by Alberta Community Development (an Alberta Govt. Dept.). Produced for The Scottish Shoppe of Calgary in May 2000. Approved by the Alberta Lergislature in 2000 (Bill No. 205) and unveiled at Scotdance 2000 - the North American Highland Dancing Championships. Lochcarron swatch. Blue is for Aberta skies, green for the rolling farmlands, golod for the wheat, pink for the wild rose and black for the coal and oil.
