1819 Key Pattern Book. This sett is exactly the same as the 42nd Regiment but with the blue and green slightly lighter.
In their 1850 book "The Clan and Family Tartans of Scotland" William and Andrew Smith of Mauchline wrote: "The Tartan worn by the 93d differs from the 42d only in having the green and blue a little lighter."
