Highlands of Haliburton (District)
  • Notes: Designed by Miss M Patricia Jenkins MA, founder of The Loomcrofters of Gagetown (Est. 1941), New Brunswick, Nova Scotia. Blue and green are for the waters and forests, red & gold for autumn foliage and loyalty to 'Crown and Country' and white for the provincial flower the Trillium and for the winter snow. Brown is for the earth and all fur-bearing animals. The Highlands of Haliburton are in Ontario surrounding Minden and Haliburton and including part of Algonquin Park. Tartan was originally registered in the CIDD but that coverage has now lapsed. Woven by Fraser & Kirkbright of Vancouver.
