Early 19th C. tartan in Highland Society of London records. Now designated "of Tulloch".
Approximate count taken from photograph of Clans Originaux 1880 woven sample. Green is a litle light but otherwise the proportions are fine and it is symmetrical – unlike the Highland Society sample which was asymmetric (#6291).
The sample in the archives woven by Marton Mills inadvertantly became Davidson of Tulloch when they were asked to weave Denholm but made a mistake in the threadcount and used white on green instead of the Denholm’s black on green. This is an excellent example of the ‘flexibility’ of Wm Wilson of Bannockburn who would make a slight change to one tartan and give it another name.
