First appeared in the 1930s in Andersons of Edinburgh (now Kinloch Anderson) collection apparently for the Spencer-Nairn family of Inverness. Nairns also recorded in Fife and Perthshire (Nairne of Dunsinnan). Green and blue used to show the sett (dark green and dark blue called for). See also Forbo Nairn #2298.
