• Notes: Commissioned by Aberdeenshire Council in 2013 as part of its creative cultural placement programme, this tartan features seven colours which were inspired by Aberdeenshire's iconic natural and built environment. Primary school pupils from each of Aberdeenshire's six areas chose the colours that form the new tartan. The designer added her own colour inspired by the area of Aberdeenshire where she grew up. The tartan?s name reflects the landscape and environment of Aberdeenshire where the contributors live. Authorised by Colin D Mackenzie, Chief Executive, Aberdeenshire Council.
