This tartan was designed using colours, with two minor variations, of the Edmond Charles ‘Citizen’ Genet (Commemorative) Tartan. Edmond Charles Genet is great-great-great-great grandfather to Eric Duane Genet. The red, white and blue represent both the colours of the Genet homeland of France and the United States of America, the home of the "American Genet" to which Edmond Charles ‘Citizen’ Genet is father. More emphasis has been placed on the red, white and blue of the United States by making these stripes and colours bolder. The green of the Edmond Charles This tartan is designed for use by Eric Duane Genet, his descendants and their family associates. Written permission from Eric Duane Genet (or his lawful assigns) is required for use.
Genet tartan, which represents the plant depicted on many Genet Coats of Arms, has been brightened to reflect the hopes of bright futures of generations of Genets to come. The lighter blue, sett in three stripes upon the "Genet" green, has been added to represent the three children of Eric Duane Genet, his daughter Jessie Brianna and two sons, Maxwell Twain Fox and John Liam
