Glynn of Glynnstewart (Personal)
  • Notes: The tartan was designed by Dr Philip D Smith, Jr of Cookeville, Tennessee, USA with the following being taken into consideration: the Scottish arms registered for Glynstewart (Sanday, Orkney islands). Based on the Stewart tartan, the yellow represents the rank of Lieutenant Commander (US Navy) and red for combat service; the blues and greens represent the Orkney islands and the ocean. For the use of John Glynn of Glynstewart and his immediate family.
