Submitted to National Archives for registration in February 2009 by a Mr A R Taggart. Woven by Robin Elliot of Elliots of Selkirk. Mr Taggart took an existing sample to Elliots who reproduced it in a twill weave. Original thought to have been woven by D C Dalgliesh of Selkirk.
Mr Taggart commented that after many years of wearing kilts of various tartans, he decided to have one of his own.
No restrictions on weaving or wearing.
Despite its close similarity to the Anderson tartan the lack of white and yellow and the darker shades of blue and green used, should not present any confusion with the Anderson.
