Medallions

One of our Life Members, Jeffery MacArthur- Smith has very kindly built up - and presented to us on longterm loan - a special collection of historical coins and medallions covering a most interesting period in Scotland's history.  The major figures who were pivotal in the fortuitous promotion and consolidation of tartan's place in Scottish heritage are here - Bonnie Prince Charlie, George IV, Sir Walter Scott, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.  The form fascinating links with the past that give life to the events and periods portrayed.
