Medallions

One of our Life Members, Jeffery MacArthur- Smith has very kindlybuilt up - and presented to us on longterm loan - a special collectionof historical coins and medallions covering a most interesting periodin Scotland's history.  The major figures who were pivotal in the fortuitous promotion and consolidation of tartan's place in Scottish heritage are here - Bonnie Prince Charlie, George IV, Sir Walter Scott, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.  The form fascinating links with the past that give life to theevents and periods portrayed.
