Retail Training
For may years, voices in the retail sector of the Highland dress industry have bemoaned the lack of any form of 'official' training and certification for staff on the diverse subjects of tartan and Highland dress and the history that surrounds them both. That in turn has adversely affected any semblance of a career structure within the industry, and individuals looking for advancement, have suffered from the lack of formal documentation charting their progress and achievements.
If you're one of those individuals, or indeed an employer who wants to ensure that your staff delivers the very best of information to your customers, then a scheme is in the pipeline. The requirements for certification will probably comprise a comprehensive questionnaire, all the answers to which will be available in this new website and the layer upon layer of informative material within it.
As we crystallise our thinking on the scheme, we'll update this section so please keep popping back to see how things are shaping up.
