There are seven Highland Games held in NZ annually. The most
noteable are held in small out-of-the way centres like Waipu,
Turakina and Paeroa (all in the North Island). The South Island has
strong Scottish associations with Otago and Southland
provinces.
The Auckland Scottish Clans Association maintains a website of
contacts for the various clan societies and Highland Games
societies at www.scottishclans.co.nz/index.htm
We are grateful to Ian Dickson of the Clan Keith Society in New
Zealand for the above. We would welcome more input from NZ so
if anyone else fancies getting their name 'in lights' then please
contact us.
